With over a decade of experience in shareholder advocacy, Jonas pushes companies to improve their environmental and social behavior. He is also an advocate for shareholder rights and the integration of environmental, social and governance factors into investment decisions. As a contributor to the United Nation’s A legal framework for the integration of environmental, social and governance issues into institutional investment and other writings, Jonas is a recognized legal specialist in the field. Prior to joining Trillium, Jonas was an environmental attorney and public defender as well as outside counsel to many socially responsible investment organizations. Jonas holds J.D. and masters degrees from Vermont Law School.
