Job Summary:

Our equity research analysts are responsible for all aspects of Trillium’s fundamental equity research process, which includes the examination, interpretation, and integration of financial and Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) factors. Equity research analysts have responsibility for all security-level and industry analyses for a given economic sector(s). Communication is a critical success factor for this important role, with regular interaction required with portfolio managers and internal colleagues, company management teams, independent research providers, and non-governmental organizations as part of our investment diligence processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs ESG-integrated, fundamental equity analysis to support sector-level research objectives, including company-specific reports, sector and market-level research papers, and related presentations to our Investment Management Committee
  • Regularly interacts with Portfolio Managers on bottom-up idea generation, diligence, and ongoing assessment of active holdings and eligibility of universe for US and Non-US equities strategies
  • Responsible for conducting all aspects of valuation and financial modeling, including the internal rating of specific equities and related completion of benchmarking studies.
  • Interacts effectively with our internal advocacy, ESG research, and fixed income specialists
  • Represents the firm (and travels) as needed
  • Reports to the firm’s Chief Investment Officer

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of financial analysis experience in accounting, valuation, or research roles
  • Demonstrated interest in ESG investing
  • CFA charter holder preferred (or willing to begin active enrollment)
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team-based and goal-oriented environment
  • Competence with Microsoft Office, Bloomberg, FactSet and MSCI applications
